Perfect timing. In preparation for upcoming travels I've been eying the selection of Speck cases for my 13" unibody, but have only experienced the Satin in person. I love the smooth, rubbery feel of it but - speaking as a blue girl - the colour selection doesn't win me over. The SeeThru selection, on the other hand, has an Aqua which could be an agreeable addition... Is it rubbery or hard rigid? Is it prone to scuffs or scratches? I'm half tempted to go with the graphite Satin and try some screenprinting on it.

As for iPhone cases, I'm in love with (and on my second) SwitchEasy Colors case, which I've turned much of my friends family on to. I'll hook you up with a review in the next couple of days!

Interesting - had a friend with a similar experience with their ipod touch... the case didn't fall apart, but the yellow colour on it (it was black and yellow - kind of a modernist bee look) got dirty (cheap plastic maybe), more smudgy than areas touched by hands should be. Kind of disappointing since they're a good firm, and firms branching out into the real world product design is always good. Stay away from Marware covers you get at the Apple store - more falling apart badness...grr.

Laptop cover for me is <a href="http://www.gelaskins.com/" rel="nofollow">Gelaskins</a> - definitely more artistic than protective, but I love their designers. <a href="https://www.gelaskins.com/skins.php?SkinID=522&DeviceID=41&s=a&CategoryID=57" rel="nofollow">Looky, a red one!<a> :) Looks like you can upload your own design, too.

speck laptop cases can put too much weight on certain weakpoints on certain macbooks. a friend of mine had his lcd panel snap in half just from opening and closing his laptop over the period of less than a year. ive also heard of them leaving serious scratches on shiny brand new ipods and macbooks. they look great, but im not sure how protective they really are.hmmmm... then again, i dont use any apple products and dont really have much first hand experience.

they're pretty protective, but you do have to take the shell off every once in awhile to clean the interior (crud gets in between, which is the cause of the scratches).
